Aam Aadmi Party receives stunning victory in Delhi MCD by-election; BJP gets zero.
The people of Delhi have thrown out the corrupt BJP from the five wards of the MCD: Durgesh Pathak.
Citizens of Delhi do not trust the BJP any more they want AAP in the MCD too: Durgesh Pathak*NEW DELHI:Senior AAP leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak on Wednesday said that the BJP should resign from MCD on the basis of its miserable defeat in the by-election. Today Aam Aadmi Party has got a stunning victory in the Delhi MCD by-election; BJP could not even win a single seat. Shri Pathak said that the people of Delhi have thrown out the corrupt BJP from the five wards of the MCD.
He said that the citizens of Delhi do not trust the BJP any more, they want AAP in the MCD too.Senior AAP leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak while welcoming everyone to today’s press conference said, “In the by-elections held in 5 wards, the Aam Aadmi Party has won four out of five seats. The most important impact of this by-election has been a clean sweep of the Bharatiya Janata Party which stands at zero seats. I would like to first extend my gratitude to every Aam Aadmi Party worker, who worked day and night, 24×7, going door to door, campaigning for the party.
I want to thank and congratulate all organization members, district heads, Lok Sabha in-charge and frontal workers of the party for this splendid victory.”He further added, “The people of Delhi had given the Bharatiya Janata Party massive support for the last 15 years. In these 15 years however, the Bharatiya Janata Party has destroyed Delhi and the Municipal Corporation. Even as the funds of the Corporation deteriorated, the income of BJP councillors and the party increased. The primary work of the Bharatiya Janata Party was to ensure a clean Delhi but today, there is not one street in Delhi that can be said to be clean. Even the lanes of areas under BJP councillor and Delhi BJP chief Shri Adesh Gupta are not clean.”Shri Pathak said, “Even Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s survey, conducted in 48 cities, ranked Delhi second last from the bottom. On the other hand, corruption had been at its peak.
The BJP did so much corruption that today the MCD has become bankrupt and they do not even have money to pay their own employees.”He said, “Since the last 9 months MCD employees have been protesting. The Delhi Police under BJP has lathi-charged them. Whenever we have questioned the BJP ruled MCD over non-payment of salaries they say that they do not have money. Yet, they have the money to put up hoardings worth 13000 crores. This behaviour by the party generated feelings of animosity among the people of Delhi. The faith that the people of Delhi had in the Bharatiya Janata Party has completely collapsed.” Shri Pathak said, “There is no power bigger than the people in a democracy and if today the Bharatiya Janata Party has zero seats today, it has been vanquished, it is a clear message from the people.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has lost its case in the people’s court. The Bharatiya Janata Party no longer has any right over the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and therefore it is the demand of the Aam Aadmi Party that the Bharatiya Janata Party resign from the MCD. We call for fresh elections where the people, who no longer want the Bharatiya Janata Party to represent them, are given the opportunity to remove them from the Council.”
